Vote for Sarah Fitzgerald!!

5 time World Champion Sarah FItzgerald has certainly earned her spot in the top 100 female Australian athletes ever, so please vote for her!!

I think she’d make the top 100 male or female….but I might be biased because she kicked my ass so many times!

Love Maria, but I think she could have found something better to endorse.
84g of sugar per bag is more than 2 cans of coke!!

Serena is gearing up down in OZ.
She’s only lost 1 of her past 32 matches and has won the Australian Open 5 times previously. I’m looking forward to seeing who will step up and challenge her.

This is the comfiest tee ever!! I never wear t-shirts to play, but this one is the exception.

Nicol David won her 7th World title this week. The Malaysian beat Laura Massaro from England 3-0 in the final in Cayman.

7 World titles…….7 years as the best in the world. Amazing!

Egyptian superstar Raneem El Welily moved back to World #2 this month, over taking Laura Massaro. My girl Joelle King jumped to #5 this month, her first time in the top 10 following an amazing October and not far behind her is Malaysian, Low Wee Wern. Wee Wern jumps to #7, having beaten King in the final of the China Open last week.

The Women’s World Team event kicks off in Nimes on the 12th of November.
The event will feature 26 teams, including debutes by Argentina, Korea and Namibia. Defending champions Australia will be up against it due to issues between players and the federation, something Egypt and England will be keen to capitalise on.
England has it’s usual depth and with Alison Waters coming back into form there isn’t much to pick between #1,#2 and #3. Also making a comeback is Omneya El Kawy, her current low ranking will make her an almost unbeatable #3 on the Egyptian team.
Should be a very interesting event!

Joelle King picked up where she left off in Macau, with a great win over 3rd seed Annie Au in the China Open. She now plays Alison Waters for a spot in the final. Waters took out 2nd seed Raneem El Weleily.

Olympic track athletes, Lolo Jones and Tianna Madison have been named in the US Bobsled team. Jones showed up in Lake Placid three weeks ago to begin her first foray into the winter sports, and it looks like she’s good at it!
Having both competed in London, they will now be in a position to vie for a spot on the US Winter Olympic team for 2014. Cool Runnings anyone?
